RV Service Pro Spotlight: Faithful Journey RV Services LLC

My RV Resource loves sharing details about our members and we’re proud to spotlight Andrew Nakhla with Faithful Journey RV Services, LLC.

Tell us a little about your situation while running your RV business.

My mobile RV business is truly mobile. Meaning that my family and I live fulltime on the road in our RV. We tend to stay in one area for 2-3 months during the summer and about 6 months during the winter. Check out the links below to my website, company listing page on MyRVResource or Facebook to find out the current location that I am servicing.

Do you live in an RV full-time?

As mentioned previously, we do live in our RV fulltime and we have been doing so for the last two years. We started off with a 2000 Monaco Diplomat 40′ class A diesel pusher. After that we briefly had a toy hauler that just wasn’t the right fit for our family. We currently live in a 40′ 2019 Keystone Cougar 5th wheel which has a bunkhouse for our 3 small kids. We pull our 5th wheel with a 2012 Ford F350 dually truck.

What inspired you to start your own RV business?

As we delved into the RV world two years ago when we bought our diesel pusher, I started learning tons about RV’s regarding living in one, maintenance and repair.

After about a year into fulltime living on the road, I saw a YouTube video about becoming an RV Inspector. This birthed the idea about having an Mobile RV Service and Inspection business.

After much prayer, research and thought, my wife and I decided that this was something we wanted to do. We received confirmation about starting this business from the Lord in the form of Him providing literally every single penny we needed to do the school and get the business up and running.

What RV services or RV products do you offer?

At Faithful Journey RV Services, I offer three different areas of service; Mobile RV Service, New & Used RV Inspections and RV Solar Systems.

  1. Mobile RV Repair Services: Don’t let a problem with your RV ruin your family vacation or have to figure how to get it to a dealer if you fulltime in it. I come to your location, asses the problem and fix the issue onsite. I also can carryout regular maintenance on your RV to help prevent an issue from even happening. However, if you are new to RV ownership I provide new owner walk throughs to go through all the RV systems with you and go over regular maintenance you can complete yourself.
  2. New & Used RV Inspections: Think of it as a home inspections for your RV but in much more detail. With the inspection report that I provide you with it will give you the information to make an educated purchasing decision. You don’t want to be buying someone else’s money pit! Even brand new units from the factory have issues, problems or missing components. An inspection leverages your buying power at the dealer or private party to get issues corrected before purchase. You don’t want to be joining the end of the warranty queue and not be able to use your new RV.
  3. RV Solar Systems: Are you wanting to take your RV off grid or wanting to reduce your reliance on shore power? I can work with you to identify your off-grid goals and design a unique solar system for your RV and needs. Finally, I schedule a time to install the solar system on your RV and educate you on how it operates. However if you are a do it yourself type and already started your solar install I can still help with the design, identifying components, sizing components, installation assistance, the configuration of software, and remote support.

Faithful Journey RV Services is also a dealer for Victron Energy equipment so you can rest assured you will get the best possible price. Victron equipment purchased through Faithful Journey RV Services will come with an additional one year warranty for a total of six years to protect your investment.

What is your background and how did you develop the skills to start your business?

My career background before starting Faithful Journey RV Services was in Information Technology Management. I had been working in the IT field for over 15yrs before loosing my job in 2020 due to the global pandemic. This background has come in useful within the RV industry as it catches up with technology and automation of systems and controls.

Within and outside of my professional career, I learn by doing and hands-on experience. For example, when we had our house, I completed the basement by doing all the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall and paint. However, I didn’t cut corners but completed based on codes and standards. The inspectors came out and passed my work on the first inspection.

When we got our first Class A diesel pusher I learned a lot about RV’s regarding purchasing, ownership and maintenance. I decided to take that knowledge, get formal training at the National RV Training Academy, and start this business.

What has been your business’s proudest moment?

Due to my faith in Jesus and my character, it brings me joy to be able to help people. It has been great connecting with people and helping them in times of need, educating them on RV’s, giving them peace of mind and at times just getting to know someone.

What has been your biggest challenge?

The biggest challenge has to come from being fulltime on the road. Every time we get to a new location, it takes some time to get word out about my mobile RV repair business. But thankfully we trust in God, and He provides the jobs we need as we move around.

Describe your typical work day.

My typical work day is difficult to put in a box as every day seems to be different. However, I am thankful that my work schedule is more flexible now which allows me more time with my family than I had previously.

Tell us something interesting/fun about your business.

The name of the business came from a dream I had one night back in 2020. Basically, I was standing with Jesus in the middle of a road in a mountainous area. There was a starting line in front of us and we had our hiking gear on.

What I understood from this dream was that my family and I are on a journey where there is going to be ups and downs. But we didn’t need to worry as God will lead and provide for us. We just need to be faithful and endure to the end while we are on this journey. If you ever meet me in person, I am happy to share more!

What’s your best advice for someone who wants to start his/her own RV business?

With God, all things are possible!

Glad to chat with you, Andrew!
