A lot of people think they do not need health coverage because they are young and healthy. They go to the doctor for preventative care, and nothing ever happens that requires health insurance.
The truth of the matter, is that EVERYONE needs health insurance. A common myth is that hospitals have to cover you, should something big happen. The truth is, they have to stabilize you, yes. But they do not have to continue treatment. If you cannot pay for treatment, they will refuse to take care of you.
Many people in the traveling community forego insurance because they cannot afford it, or cannot find coverage that will actually travel with you. There are plans out there available to you that have a PPO network, and are customizable and affordable.
