Do you ensure your RV air conditioner (Dometic, Coleman-Mach, Furrion) is serviced at least annually? The evaporator in your air conditioner makes the air cold, and if it gets clogged, the compressor has to work harder to do its job. These conditioners are one-time use only, and the harder it has to work pulling air through the evaporator, the more it has the opportunity to fail. The attached photo to this article is an air conditioner of a rear air conditioner. Only two people and one dog stay in this RV. The air conditioner has never been serviced (cleaned) and has not stopped working altogether.
If you live full-time in your RV, your air conditioner should be serviced every six months. The cost of cleaning your RV air conditioner twice a year ensures you will have cold air when the summer heat arrives.
