Just a glimpse into Paul's background.
From a very young age I was intrigued with electronics. When old enough I studied electronics engineering.
Career in the Automotive Electric field:
Fresh out of school I worked in the Automotive electric industry where I contributed to the design of several products that revolutionized high capacity charging systems for emergency vehicles.
It seemed like the natural progression for me was to get involved with computers. I spent 25 years in the field. Again, I designed a number of innovative electronic circuits and programs.
Throughout my years, I have been an avid boater, much of which I spent as a solo or single handed sailor. With my technical background, I identified several areas that could be improved relating to life-safety-survival systems and designed devices that enhanced ship-board emergency systems.
The systems in boats are very similar to those in an RV. Many of the systems and features we take for granted in our RVs were originally developed for boats. I have had many opportunities to investigate these systems.
Several years ago I realized I had not explored much of the interior of our country. Most of my travel had been along the coast or offshore. So, I bought an RV and my dog and I began traveling by land. Again, I have had lots of opportunity to investigate the systems in our RVs and have enjoyed making my RV my own.
Throughout my life I have dealt in real estate. Some of it personal and some of it as a licensed broker in Florida and Georgia. I know the value of a proper property inspection. I have been handed both good and bad ones. A thorough RV inspection is every bit as important as a thorough property inspection and serves the same purpose here in the RV world as in the Real Estate world.
Perhaps it's because I'm detail oriented that I have spent most of my life in technical fields. Or maybe it's the other way around. Either way, I am detail oriented. My RV inspections will reflect this.
