After 18 years in the corporate world, same boss the whole time, the writing was splattered on the wall it was time to move on. My last position was Robot installation and maintenance of pharmaceutical prescription filling robots at RxMedic in NC. I did some research and found that RVers desperately needed good, honest, qualified, and insured technicians. So I invested in myself. I went to the RVSA, then to a dealer (lasted a week and a half, that's just nuts), joined a mobile RV repair outfit (put 30k miles on their van in 3 months), and decided to buy a van and do it myself. My wife, Karen, and I created our company, drew our logo, got our tax ID, filed our business with the states we work in, found insurance that covers us anywhere in the country, and off we went. We did our first summer Thousand Trails hopping around NC, late summer went to northern Indiana, did some training with Lippert, visited Furrion, went to the RV museum, toured Jayco, then headed down to the then largest Thousand Trails park in the system in Batesville IN. They kept us busy the 3 weeks we were there 2019. (By the way Charles is originally from Muncie IN, Karen lived in Indy for 14 years, and we both have family there) So we went back to Batesville for a full season 2020 and will return for another full season 2021. Oct. 2019 we went to Ehrenburg AZ, then to Quartzite, and Benson where we were stopped in our tracks by Covid. Stayed in Benson until May 1st and realized little ole Benson has everything we need to make a good living. So, we came back in Nov 2020 and are staying until April 1st, no fooling. We are also planning on returning to Benson for the 2021 season.
