RV AC Installed Incorrectly Cover

Hello everyone. It’s Jason again with myRVinspection.com and myRVresource.com It’s like the Yellow Pages for RV services. Today I'm coming to you with a Weekly One Reason to Get an RV Inspection again. Let’s check out this RV AC incorrectly installed.

I'm inspecting a brand new RV built in June of last year. Let's go real quick take a gander at the RV manufacture date.

An RV AC that is incorrectly installed can be a hazard. I know I've told you a few things about air conditioners but the this is pretty severe for a brand new RV. Look at this little white tab on that RV AC seal. What that it is a marker and it tells you how tight the pull the RV air conditioner to the roof. If you don't tighten it down enough, andl it rains water can come underneath the RV air conditioner.  It also means the RV air conditioner is not up there installed tight. The wrong wind while you're driving down the road could move it front to back or side to side. This could be catastrophic in some cases.

When you're looking at your RV it is one place to look inside that plenum area. Make sure that grey seal is pulled tight to the roof of the RV, so that the white touches the top and the bottom. Once again your RV roof could leak, it could suck warm air in from the outside, or it could be moving around while you're driving down the road. I mean it could technically come off of the RV roof.

So that's our Weekly One Reason to Get an RV Inspection. Something that most people don't know to look for and they don't know how that air conditioner should be installed. We want you to be safe we want you to have enjoyable time in your RV, Have a nice day.
