Truma Ziptie Not Tight

Hello everyone. It's Jason again with myRVresource.com. It's like the Yellow Pages for RV services. Today were are checking out a Truma Zip Tie on a rubber grommet inside the RV water heater.

I'm coming at you again with another Weekly One Reason To Get An RV Inspection and we're going to talk a little bit about the Truma water heater. We're inspecting a brand new travel trailer today. So let's just look at what we've got here. The manufacture date is June of 2022. We see that it was inspected at the dealership here 11/2021.

Now this unit was at the 2023 Florida RV Super Show. You know typically they get them ready a little early for the show so that afterwards they can just get them right back to the dealership and get them out the door. We have booths at the show, so people find us and hire us do these RV inspections. We find things like this and this is something that you can look for if you have a Truma water heater installed in your RV. So let's go take a look real quick at the Truma water heater, this little yellow zip tie here is supposed to be tight around this rubber seal. That prevents any carbon monoxide from getting into the RV. This is a life safety issue because this zip tie is not tight around the seal. It's a real simple fix, but it's something they should do before you pick up your RV. It's something you should look for prior to getting an RV inspection.

So with your Weekly One Reason To Get An RV Inspection this is Jason and you have a nice day.
