This brand-new RV is missing a generator exhaust pipe and that's a Life Safety issue.  This dealership was so concerned, they replaced it while I was making the video.

Hello everybody, this is Jason with MyRVResource.com. It’s Like the Yellow Pages for RV Services!

I’m here to bring you another Weekly One Reason to Get an RV Inspection.

I was inspecting a brand-new RV when I came across a generator that was completely missing an exhaust. The National Fire Protection Agency says that the exhaust must stick out past the sidewall to prevent carbon monoxide from finding it’s way inside the RV.

This is a Life Safety Issue that I immediately made the dealership aware of.  While trying to film this segment, one of the techs from the dealership showed up with a generator exhaust he pulled off of another brand-new RV.  The dealership had sent him out immediately to find an exhaust and replace it.

While this is great for the buyer of the RV I'm inspecting, now another RV on their lot is missing the generator exhaust. This was missed during the initial dealership PDI, so hopefully, the other RV got a new exhaust prior to someone buying it.

Once again, with your Weekly One Reason to Get an RV Inspection, we found a missing generator exhaust during our RV inspection. Have a nice day!
